The energy in the photons is then converted into visible light by the light emitting diodes, or LEDs. LED bulbs come in two types: positive edge and mixed modes. Positive edge LED bulbs produce a brighter light than a normal incandescent bulb but tend to throw off more light in each cycle, creating a cooler working environment for equipment such as computers.
